About Cenosphere

Cenosphere are natural lightweight, inert hollow spheres of silica and alumina, which naturally occurs in the combustion of coal. (Harvested From coal ash of thermal power stations). It has unique combination of low specific gravity, spherical shape, high compressive strength, good thermal, electrical and acoustical insulation properties, and high temperature melting point.

High compressive strength

Cenospheres which have unusually high compressive strength and can easily handle pressures of 3,000 psi without breakage. This immense strength extends their versatility by providing increased breakage resistance during mixing, processing and application.

Unique Insulation Property

Cenosphere are inert hollow spheres comes with the sieve size from 500 microns to 60 microns. With this coarser free flow quality, with high compressive strength and high melting point it gives unique insulation property for various applications.

High temperature melting point

With a melting point around 1300° Celsius, cenospheres withstand temperatures far higher than any comparable thin-walled hollow glass microsphere. This extreme temperature resilience is achieved through unique refractory properties.

Light weight (low density)

Cenosphere are inert hollow spheres are very low density material, the weight of cenosphere is very light, bulk density( KG/M3) 350-450. Its gives unique feature of low weight filler or additive.

Applications

Cenospheres are small, high compressive strength, extremely lightweight, free flowing, with high temperature melting point and non porous, hollow ceramic spheres. Cenospheres are used primarily as lightweight fillers are used in the oil and gas, plastics, building, refractory, constructions, footwear, composites, automotive, recreation, aerospace, defence and surface paints & coating industries. Cenospheres are available in both grey and white to suit the required application.
